Felix B. Griggs

Felix B. Griggs is a distinguished leader, devoted family man, and decorated military veteran, dedicated to service within his community and fraternal organizations.

​

A proud husband, father of three (two sons and one daughter), grandfather to seven (three grandsons and four granddaughters), and great-grandfather to one, MIGTIM Griggs’s life is marked by a deep commitment to family and community.

​

He served his country with honor, spending two years in the National Guard and 24 years in the United States Army. His military career included combat service in the Persian Gulf War and the Liberation of Kuwait. In 2001, he was inducted into the prestigious Ordnance Branch Order of Samuel E. Sharp at Aberdeen Proving Ground, Maryland.

MIGTIM Griggs’s Masonic journey began in 1984 when he joined Panama Military Lodge No. 174 (Prince Hall Affiliation). He is currently a member and Past Master of Eureka Lodge No. 3 in Memphis, TN. Over the decades, he has held numerous leadership roles across multiple Masonic bodies, including:

  • Royal Arch Masonry: Member of Topstone Chapter No. 43 (TN) and Past Grand High Priest of Juiett Allison Grand Chapter HRAM (TN).

  • Knights Templar: Member of Nora Boyd Commandery No. 23 and Past Right Eminent Grand Commander of Austin W. Williams Grand Commandery (TN).

  • Cryptic Masonry: Member of Bluff City Council No. 2 and 8th Grand Thrice Illustrious Master of Charles F. Williams Grand Council (TN).

  • Scottish Rite: Elevated to the 32nd Degree in 1984 and currently serves as Assistant Grand Seneschal for the United Supreme Council.

  • Shriners: Past Potentate of Moolah Temple No. 54 and Honorary Past Imperial Potentate.

Additionally, MIGTIM Griggs is a longstanding member of the Order of the Eastern Star, holding the title of Past Worthy Patron of Eureka Chapter No. 241, and is a member of the Improved Benevolent and Protective Order of Elks of the World, where he served as Past Grand Exalted Ruler of George W. Lee Lodge No. 96.

A committed advocate for civil rights, MIGTIM Griggs has been a member of the NAACP for 25 years. As a Silver Life Member working toward Gold Life Membership, he actively promotes voter registration and civic engagement.

His leadership vision for the Charles F. Williams Grand Council includes:

​

  1. Strengthening District engagement through visitations and active support.

  2. Growing membership by fostering connections with seasoned members.

  3. Advancing education from Royal Arch Masonry to Cryptic Masonry.

  4. Promoting voter registration initiatives.

  5. Encouraging community charity efforts by all Districts and Councils.

  6. Supporting the Bernice H. Stevens Grand Court Ladies of the Circle of Perfection.

​

With a legacy of dedication and service, Felix B. Griggs continues to inspire and guide others in both his fraternal and personal pursuits.
